Mothers Day Gift Ideas in Kirkcaldy Town Centre

It’s less than two weeks until Mother’s Day, and the count down for gift buying is officially on. Luckily, we have some amazing local businesses in Kirkcaldy town centre, and we’ve put together our top picks for gifts for every mum, or mother figure!

Lets start with the obvious - flowers. We’re so fortunate to have two amazing florists located in our town centre, The Flower Ranger is situated in the Merchant’s Quarter, and CC’s Floral Design is on Whytehouse Avenue. Both offer beautiful floral bouquets and arrangements in varying sizes and styles, and with two different florists to choose from, there’s definitely something for everyone.

We also have an abundance of lovely, local gift shops where you can find everything from prints, to candles, to homeware - all of which would make a perfect Mothers Day gift. Home of Hopcroft is located in the Merchant’s House building at the very end of the High Street, and has a great range of homewares, prints and skincare. We love their Highland Soap Co. Products, and the ‘bathing boxes’ in particular would make an amazing gift for any mum. Their ‘mum definition’ print would also be perfect.

Further into the Merchant’s Quarter is Phil+Sophy, who have a beautiful variety of potential gift ideas. Anything from this shop would make a perfect gift, but we specifically love their bespoke gift baskets. All you have to do is message them on Instagram or Facebook (or pop into store), let them know your budget and some requests, and they’ll put together a beautiful, thoughtful present.

Right across from Phil+Sophy, you’ll find My Cherry Pie. They stock beautiful cards, scarves, and artwork that would make any mum happy, however, the standout has to be the beautiful copper and enamel jewellery that is handmade in store by owner Gail. These beautiful pieces would make an amazing gift and there are so many designs to choose from.

Along the other end of the High Street is Planet Foodie, who, along with a great variety of food and drink, also sell lovely handmade candles. They would make a perfect addition to a present for any mum.

Eloise has become somewhat of an institution in Kirkcaldy town centre and they not only offer a wide range of jewellery brands in store, but also a bespoke commission service. It’s their huge variety of vintage pieces that are our favourite however, and we can’t think of a better present than a one of a kind, vintage piece of jewellery.

Want to make the day more of an occasion? Why not head down to Krafty Fine Drinks on Kirk Wynd to pick up a bottle of something bubbly? They have a huge array of wines, beers and even pre-made cocktails, and there’s no need to worry about not being able to choose, as the lovely Megan and Ross will be happy to help you pick out something special for your mum.

We all know that being a mum is hard work, so why not treat your mum to a beauty treatment this year. We’re lucky to have a variety of amazing beauticians in our town centre. From Heavenly Sensations, Be-You-Tiful by Leonie and Pier 88 in the Merchants Quarter, to Bliss Beauty on Whytescauseway - there is a huge array to choose from. Pop into one to organise a pamper session for your mum.

If you want to treat your mum to a meal then look no further than Kirkcaldy Town Centre, from Koku Shi, to Jock’s Grill House, to The Duchess - there’s something for everyone. Rather than listing them all here, head over to our ‘Eating Out’ page to get the full info on all the delicious eateries in our town?

Still stuck for ideas? Why not buy them a Kirkcaldy Gift Card? The perfect gift for any occasion, and available to spend at over 40 businesses in our town centre:
