Coffee Shops in 'The Lang Toun'

There is a huge range of amazing coffee shops in Kirkcaldy, and as today, 1st of October, is International Coffee Day we decided to round up some of our favourites to make sure that you’re never short of ideas when looking for somewhere to visit.

Kangus Coffee House

This plant-based coffee shop is located in the Merchant's Quarter of Kirkcaldy High Street. If you're looking for good coffee and delicious vegan food in an atmosphere that's fun and inviting, this place will not disappoint. They also source all of their products locally when available.

Coastal Cove

Coastal Cove is one of the newest additions to Kirkcaldy's growing cafe culture. Not only do they have great coffee, but they also have a large variety of breakfast and lunch options, as well as freshly baked scones and cakes. It's nestled on the corner of the High Street and Whytehouse Avenue and the large windows and abundance of natural light make it an ideal spot to people watch while you enjoy your coffee or lunch.

The Merchant's House Cafe

Located in the historic Merchant's House, overlooking the River Forth and Edinburgh, The Merchant's House Cafe offers loads of amazing breakfast and lunch options as well as a wide range of coffees and teas, hot chocolates and Valente's ice cream. Of course we can't mention The Merchant's House without talking about their huge range of incredible homemade cakes, these alone are reason enough to give them a visit.

Roots and Seeds Cafe Bistro

The cosy atmosphere and South American / Portuguese inspired menu makes Roots and Seeds a fantastic choice for breakfast and lunch, or just for a quick coffee. Their food is delicious and they also offer an evening menu occasionally, so make sure to keep an eye on their social medias.

The Black Cat

Located inside the Olympia Arcade, The Black Cat offers a range of coffees and hot drinks, as well as delicious baked goods. The intimate, inviting atmosphere of this little cafe makes it an ideal place to meet friends, or to spend some time alone with a good book.

Cafe Weymss

Cafe Weymss is situated in Kirkcaldy Galleries, with a lovely view of the War Memorial Gardens. It’s location also makes it a lovely environment to enjoy a quick lunch or cup of coffee following a visit to one of Kirkcaldy Galleries fantastic exhibitions.

Cupcake Coffee Box

Cupcake Coffee Box can be found right in the centre of Kirkcaldy High Street and offers a range of coffees and other hot drinks. The coffee shop serves delicious food and baked goods, but is also located in the same building as Wagamoo, meaning that, should they fancy it, customers can order their delicious burgers to their tables in the cafe.

No. 91

No. 91 is a stylish, Scandinavian-inspired cafe on Victoria Road. The cosy atmosphere makes it the perfect place to grab tea or coffee with a friend, and their lunch menu certainly does not disappoint, with a variety of options that mean there’s something for everyone.
