We are looking for a Communications and Engagement Officer to join our small staff team to help communicate the projects and work that make up our ambitious three-year strategy and business plan.
So who are Love Oor Lang Toun?
We are a community-led regeneration group that launched in April 2020. Our mission is to contribute to the renewal and regeneration of Kirkcaldy town centre, creating a 21st century town centre that local people will be proud of.

We’re a small, dynamic organisation that’s made friends with our local businesses and gained respect from our town’s community. And that’s because we involve our local businesses and the wider Kirkcaldy community to help us deliver our ambitious strategy for the next three years.
We’ve got a great Board consisting of local people and local business owners who are cheerleaders for our strategy and our people.
This is what you would be doing in the next 12 months:

-
Working with our Development Manager to promote our Kirkcaldy Town Centre Vision, build a local business network, and encourage local people to see what they’ve got on their doorstep.
-
Maintain and build our CMS website, publish great social media content, keep building on our already good relationships with our local press contacts, write press releases and do the odd bit of commissioning video work.
-
Build relationships with existing and new town centre businesses, getting to know the owners and the people who work there.
-
Produce compelling publicity material and presentations while checking the detail to ensure our usual high standards of quality.
-
Engaging with the public, involving the community, working with the local council and other organisations to find out their aspirations and views for the Town Centre.

If you have a strong track record in formulating and delivering communications and engagement campaigns and working with the media we want to hear from you.
